Link shortening helps you create clean, shareable URLs. Whether directing visitors to your latest content or promoting a campaign, shortened links offer a more user-friendly experience.
Creating a Tr.ee short link within Linktree
In My Linktree, click Edit to open the Links tab.
Find the link you'd like to remove.
Click the three dots (•••) and select Share.
Copy your shortened URL and share it on your socials.
Add a Channel or Tag to learn more from your shortened links:
Channel: Your insights already show which platform sent each click but a channel tells you which specific post or place it came from, you can choose a sharing option (e.g. Instagram DM, YouTube Description) or create a custom channel.
Tag: Group related links with your own labels, like a campaign, product or release. Then you can see how they perform together, wherever you've shared them.
💡 Tip: Use both together. For example, tag all your sale links "Summer Sale" and give each one a Channel to see which placement drove the most clicks.

Sharing and managing short links with the Tr.ee link shortener
In the Tools section of your Linktree admin click Link Shortener.
Click Shorten a link and paste your long link into the shorten link field.
Tap Shorten link to generate a Tr.ee URL.
Copy your Tr.ee link and share it anywhere.
