How to add a YouTube video

Add a YouTube video to your Linktree, play it on your Linktree, show your latest upload automatically, or show multiple videos.

To add a YouTube video, paste its URL into a new link and choose how it looks. Visitors can watch the video right on your Linktree, or go straight to it on YouTube. On a Pro or Premium plan, you can also keep the link updated with your latest upload, or show several videos from your channel.

Add your video

  1. Go to My Linktree and select Edit to open the Links tab, then select + Add.

  2. Paste your YouTube video URL and select YouTube Video from the results.

    • For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

  3. Enter a Title for your link.

  4. Select the box below the URL and choose Always use channel's latest video if you want your link to always show your channel's newest upload.

  5. Choose a Button layout: Classic, Image, or Player.

  6. Select the edit icon next to Thumbnail to add or change it.

  7. Choose a Button interaction:

    • Go directly to YouTube: Visitors go to the video on YouTube.

    • Play video on Linktree: The video plays on your Linktree.

Show multiple videos

Switch your video link to Multiple videos to show uploads from that video's channel.

  1. Go to My Linktree and select Edit to open the Links tab, then select your YouTube video link.

  2. Select Multiple videos.

  3. Select the box below the URL to open Channel content, then choose which videos show and how they're sorted:

    • Videos to display: All uploads, Videos only, Shorts only, Playlist, or Select videos.

    • Sort by: Most recent, Most viewed, or Trending.

    • To use any option other than All uploads and Most recent, select Connect and connect the YouTube account that owns the channel.

  4. Choose a Button layout: Classic, Image, Player, Carousel, Grid, Cards, or Profile.

  5. Turn on Ask visitors to subscribe if you want visitors to subscribe to your channel from your Linktree.

    • This option works with the Carousel, Grid, Cards, and Profile layouts.
