How to write great link titles

A great link title tells visitors exactly what they'll get and gives them a reason to select it. Your link titles are the first thing people see on your Linktree, so clear, specific wording builds trust and drives more clicks. Here are three ways to make yours stand out, and how to change a title once you've written it.

Make your title clear

Visitors should know what a link is about at a glance. Keep it short: titles can be up to 255 characters, but a few words are easier to scan.

If you're promoting a link on social media, use similar wording on your Linktree. This keeps your message consistent and easier to follow.

Add a call to action

A call to action (CTA) prompts visitors to do something, like watch, shop, or explore.

Start your title with a verb that matches the action you want visitors to take. Instead of a generic title like "YouTube", try "Watch my latest YouTube video".

Tip

Make sure your CTA matches what visitors will see or do after they select your link.

Write for your audience

Use titles that speak to your visitors' needs and interests. The more relevant a title feels, the more likely visitors are to select it. Try thinking like your audience:
