How to add or change your profile image

Select Edit on your profile image in the Header section to upload a photo, GIF, or video, design an image in Canva, or create one with AI. Your profile image is the first thing visitors notice on your Linktree, and you can pair it with a header layout that suits your style.

Change your profile image

1. From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, go to the Header section.
2. Select Edit on your current profile image.
3. Choose an option:
   • Select image or GIF: Upload a photo or animated GIF from your device.
   • Select GIF on Giphy: Search Giphy and pick a GIF.
   • Select video: Add a short video to bring movement to your Linktree. Available on Starter, Pro, and Premium plans.
   • Generate or Restyle with AI: Create a new image or restyle your current one with AI. Available on Starter, Pro, and Premium plans.
   • Design with Canva: Open Canva to design your image.
4. Crop your image or video to fit the profile frame.
5. Select Save.

Choose a header layout

Your header layout sets how your profile image and title appear on your Linktree:

• Classic: A small, circular profile image at the top of your Linktree, with your title below it.
• Hero: A larger, edge-to-edge profile image with a larger title below it.
• Banner: A small, circular profile image in front of an edge-to-edge banner that fades into your wallpaper.
• Cutout: A larger profile image with its background removed, in front of an extra large title.
• Shape: A larger profile image inside a decorative shape, with an extra large title above it.

Hero, Banner, Cutout, and Shape are available on Pro and Premium plans.

1. Go to the Header section of the Design tab and find Header layout.
2. Choose Classic, Hero, Banner, Cutout, or Shape.
3. Choose to update your background and text color to match your image if you want. This option appears for Hero, Banner, Cutout, and Shape.
4. Select Save.

To adjust your colors further, go to the Design tab.

Use a video

Upload a video as your profile image, or choose from over 500,000 royalty-free videos from Coverr. Videos must be under 50 MB, and they loop continuously, so they work well for subtle motion or eye-catching visuals.

Design your image in Canva

Create a profile image from scratch in Canva, or open a design you've already made.

1. From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, go to the Header section.
2. Select Edit on your profile image, then select Design with Canva.
3. Sign in to Canva to sync your existing designs.
4. Choose Create a new design or Open an existing design.
5. When you've finished, select Return to Linktree.
6. Select Save to upload your new profile image.

Don't have a profile image yet? Select Generate or Restyle with AI and describe what you're looking for, and AI creates an image for you.

Restyle your image with AI

Already have a profile image? Use AI to recreate it in a new style. You can try different looks and keep what makes your original photo yours.
