How to own your audience

Owning your audience means collecting your followers' contact details on your Linktree, so you can reach them directly. Social platforms change their algorithms, but a contact list stays yours. These Linktree features help you collect contacts, reward subscribers, and keep in touch.

Add a contact form

Add a Form link so visitors can send you their name, email, phone number, and a message without leaving your Linktree. Every submission is saved in Audience.

Use it to build an email list for your newsletter. On Pro and Premium plans, you can also collect phone numbers for SMS marketing.

Tip

Follow the steps in How to add a contact form.

Offer a free download

Share a free eBook, guide, or template with a Digital Products link. Visitors enter their name and email to download it, and their details are saved in Audience. Turn on Mailing list opt-in to ask them to join your mailing list too.

Add a mailing list opt-in to surveys

Use a survey or questionnaire to learn more about your audience. Turn on Mailing list opt-in so visitors can join your mailing list when they submit it. Your form needs an email or phone field for this to work.

Tip

Let visitors subscribe

Turn on Subscribe so visitors can sign up for updates from your Linktree. You can notify subscribers when you add or update a link, without relying on social media algorithms.

Tip

Follow the steps in Subscribe to a Linktree.

Lock content for subscribers

Give visitors a reason to subscribe by adding a Subscribe Lock to a link. Only visitors who subscribe to your Linktree can open it. Use it for:

  • Discounts: Add a Discount Code link with a Subscribe Lock, so only subscribers get the code.
  • Exclusive links: Lock videos, downloads, or posts you want to keep for your subscribers.
  • Documents: Add a PDF Display link with a Subscribe Lock to share e-books, guides, or other files.

Tip

Follow the steps in Subscribe Lock on links.

Sync your contacts

Connect your Linktree to email marketing tools like Mailchimp, Kit, and Beehiiv, or to Google Sheets, so new contacts sync automatically. You can also export your contacts as a CSV file.
