Detailed explanation

A Google Business Profile (GBP) is where you can provide the search engine (and potential customers) details about your company's location, products, services and more. You can also post business updates, show working hours and add pictures of your brick-and-mortar operations.

Creating a Google Business Profile allows you to:

– Interact with customers via phone calls, reviews and Q&As – Advertise products and services on Google – Provide directions to your physical address through Google Maps – Increase brand awareness – Show key business information at a glance – Gain insights into how customers engage with your website, social networks and marketing channels

A Google Business Profile doesn't replace your company website – instead, it's a supplementary marketing tool that helps build brand recognition and drives potential customers to your site and social media profiles.

Companies without physical locations can also create and use a Google Business Profile if they interact face-to-face with customers. Hybrid and service-only businesses may also benefit from a Google Business Profile if they directly serve clients.
