Why is Instagram or TikTok warning me about my Linktree?

Instagram and TikTok sometimes show their own warning when someone opens a link from a bio. These warnings come from Instagram or TikTok, so we can't control when or why they appear. They don't mean anything is wrong with your Linktree. The platforms use them to check links for security, and they can appear on any link, not only Linktree URLs.

Check your Linktree is working

  • Open it in a browser: Open Instagram or TikTok in a web browser without logging in, go to your Instagram or TikTok profile, and open your Linktree URL. You'll see it the way your followers do.
  • Ask a friend: Have someone else open the link in your bio and check that it works.

Tip

Make sure your bio uses your full Linktree URL, including https://. See How to add your Linktree URL to your Instagram bio.
