How to use the color palette generator
Learn more about our Color palette generator
The colors in your photos already say a lot about your style. Using the same few colors across your Linktree, posts and thumbnails makes everything you share look like it belongs together.
Upload a photo and the generator picks out its main colors. Choose how many you want, shuffle for a different mix, then copy one hex code or all of them.
Picking a photo for your palette
Start with a photo that already feels like you, such as your best-performing post, a product shot or your profile picture. Photos with a few clear areas of color give the cleanest palettes.
Busy photos with lots of small details can give muddier colors. If that happens, try Shuffle or a simpler photo.
Using your palette on Linktree
Use your darkest color for text and your lightest for the background, so everything stays easy to read. Save a bright color for buttons, since that's where you want people to tap.
Color palette generator FAQ
Is the color palette generator free?
Yes. You can make as many palettes as you like, with no sign-up.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The colors are read in your browser, so your photo stays on your device.
How many colors can I get?
4, 5 or 6. Very simple photos with only a few colors may give fewer.
What is a hex code?
A six-character code, like #D2E823, that tells apps exactly which color to show. Paste it anywhere that asks for a color.
Why did Shuffle give me different colors?
Each shuffle groups the photo's colors in a slightly different way, so you can pick the mix you like best.
Which photos can I use?
JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP. iPhone HEIC photos need to be saved as JPG first.
