How to add a thumbnail to your links

A thumbnail is a small image or icon on a link that makes it stand out and helps visitors find what they're looking for. Upload your own image, choose an icon, or create one with GIPHY, Canva, or AI.

Add a thumbnail

1. From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, select the link you want to update, or select + Add to add a new one.
2. In the Display section, select the edit icon () on the Thumbnail.
3. Choose an option:
   • Upload: Use your own image.
   • Canva: Design a thumbnail with Canva.
   • GIPHY: Choose a GIF from GIPHY.
   • AI: Generate a thumbnail with AI.
   • Icon tab: Choose an icon from Tabler Icons.

Choose the right image size

• Classic links: Square 1:1 ratio, at least 200 x 200 pixels.
• Featured links: Rectangular 16:9 ratio, at least 680 x 383 pixels.
