How to add a Meta Pixel to your Linktree

Add your Meta Pixel ID to the Analytics section of your Linktree Settings to track visits and link clicks in Meta Events Manager. Meta Pixel helps you measure conversions, optimize ad delivery, and retarget visitors across Facebook and Instagram. You can also use it to build Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences from the people who visit your Linktree.

Create your Meta Pixel

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager.
  2. Select Connect data sources, then select Web and Connect.
  3. Enter a name for your pixel and select Create pixel.
  4. Copy the Pixel ID shown in Events Manager.

Tip

For more on setting up a pixel, see Meta's guide to creating a Meta Pixel.

Add your Pixel ID to Linktree

  1. From My Linktree, select Settings () and scroll to Analytics.
    • On mobile, tap More, then tap Settings.
  2. Paste your Pixel ID in the Pixel ID field under Facebook.

Connect the Conversions API

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager and select your pixel.
  2. In Settings, scroll to Conversions API and select Generate Access Token.
  3. Copy the access token.

Check your events

Once your pixel is set up, these events track automatically:

  • Page views: Every visit to your Linktree triggers a PageView event.
  • Link clicks: Every link click triggers a linkClick event.

If you use the Meta Pixel Helper, you'll see these events fire when someone visits your Linktree and selects a link.

Tip

To check event deduplication, go to Event Details > Event Overview in Meta Events Manager.

Fix a red notification on your pixel

A red notification on your pixel usually means Meta needs you to allow the Linktree domain.

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager, select your pixel, and open Diagnostics.
  2. Find the warning about a new domain sending data and select Learn how to fix this issue.
  3. Select Manage Traffic Permissions to open the Settings tab.
  4. Scroll to Traffic Permissions and select Create Allow List.
  5. Find linktr.biz and select Add to allow list under Permissions.
  6. Select Confirm, then refresh your browser.

Note

You don't need to verify your Linktree as your domain in Facebook Business Manager.
