Your link most likely has a sensitive content label because it goes to a domain whose content may not suit all audiences. For certain domains, Linktree applies a label automatically or suggests that you add one. This helps visitors tell which links may not be right for them. To add a label to your own links, see Sensitive content labels.
Check the message when you add a link
When you add a link to your Linktree, you may see this message:
"This link may contain content that is not suitable for all audiences. To ensure that visitors are aware of the nature of the content they're about to see, we've applied a Sensitive Content label to this link. This link may appear differently to some visitors, depending on the platform they were referred from."
If we're only suggesting a label, the message says "we suggest applying" instead of "we've applied".
Note
You can still add your link. The message means we've labeled your link as sensitive content, or suggest that you label it.
See what your visitors see
When someone selects a labeled link, they see one of these messages:
- "This link may contain content that is not appropriate for all audiences."
- "This link is unavailable, as it does not comply with the guidelines of the platform you came from and is not meant for all audiences."
In some cases, visitors can select Continue to go to the link, or go back.
Remove a label
Some labels can be removed in your link settings.
- From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, select your labeled link.
- Select the lock icon below the link's URL and opt out of the sensitive content label.
If you can't opt out, the label is permanent by design. That happens for certain domains, and for visitors coming from certain platforms.
Note
Some platforms apply their own rules about sensitive content, so visitors who reach your Linktree from them may see that a link is blocked. You can't change this in your settings. Visitors who go to your Linktree directly can still select Continue.
Appeal a label
If you can't remove a label and think it's a mistake, submit an appeal with the Appeal a Decision form.
