Lost access to the email on your Linktree account? You can still get back in. What to do depends on whether you're still logged in to Linktree, and what kind of email it is. Find the situation that matches yours below.
Tip
If you can open the email but your login code isn't arriving, see Why am I not getting my login code? instead.
I'm still logged in to Linktree
Check the Linktree app on your phone, and any other browser or device you use. If you're logged in anywhere, you can change the email from there.
- Go to the Account page.
- To find it, select your profile image in the left sidebar. In the app or on a mobile device, tap More to open the menu.
- In the Personal section, enter an email address you can access.
- Select Save details.
- Open the verification email we send to your new address, and select Verify Email.
Note
Your Linktree isn't visible to visitors until you verify the new email, so verify it straight away. You can change your email once every three days.
It's a work email and I've left the company
Ask your previous employer or their IT team whether they can give you temporary access to the email. Once you're back in:
- Go to the Linktree login page and log in with that email.
- Enter the 6-digit code we email you, or reset your password if you'd rather use one.
- Change your email to a personal one, so you don't lose access again if you change jobs. Follow the steps in I'm still logged in to Linktree.
It's an old email I don't use anymore
Recover the email through your email provider first. These pages cover the most common providers:
- Recover a Gmail account
- Recover an Outlook or Hotmail account
- Recover a Proton Mail account
- Recover a Yahoo account
Once you're back in:
- Go to the Linktree login page and log in with that email.
- Enter the 6-digit code we email you, or reset your password if you'd rather use one.
- Change your email to one you use now. Follow the steps in I'm still logged in to Linktree.
I can't get back into the email at all
This covers emails you can't recover, emails with a typo in them, and work emails your old employer can't give you access to. Because we only send login codes and password reset links to the email on your account, you'll need our support team to help you get back in.
Select Contact support at the bottom of this page, and include:
- The email address on your Linktree account, or your best guess at it
- Your Linktree username or URL, for example
linktr.biz/yourusername - A short description of what happened
