Why isn't my link showing on my Linktree?

Your link most likely isn't showing because of a browser or app issue, or because the link is missing a title or a complete URL. We get it, that's frustrating. Here's how to fix the most common causes, including the "Enter a valid URL" and "Unsafe URL" messages.

Fix browser or app issues

A browser or app issue can stop your links from loading. You might see "Could not get links" or a blank white screen. Try these fixes in order:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then log in again.
  2. Turn off any VPN or ad blocker, then refresh the page.
  3. Close any other tabs where you're logged in to Linktree, then refresh your main tab.
  4. Try a different browser, or switch to the Linktree app.
  5. Log out and log back in.
  6. Uninstall and reinstall the Linktree app.
  7. Check the Linktree Status page for a known outage.

Add a title and a complete URL

If you can't add a new link, or the toggle next to it is gray (), the link is missing something:

  • Add a title to your link. Without a title and a complete URL, the link stays inactive and won't show on your Linktree.
  • Check that the URL is complete, with no extra spaces.
  • Check the spelling and format of the URL.

Fix the "Enter a valid URL" message

  • Remove any spaces before or after the URL.
  • Make sure the URL starts with http:// or https://, with no typos or extra characters.

Fix the "Unsafe URL" message

This message shows when the content of your link may not meet our Community Standards.

  • Check that your link doesn't lead to inappropriate, misleading, or harmful content.
  • If you think the message is a mistake, submit an appeal with the Appeal a Decision form and choose Unsafe URL from the dropdown.

Fix a Google security warning

If visitors see a Google security warning when they select your link, your URL might start with https:// when the website only supports http://.

  1. Open the website in a new browser tab.
  2. Copy the full URL from the address bar.
  3. From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, select your link and paste the URL into its URL field.

Note

Not all websites support secure https links. Google may flag a website that doesn't have a security certificate.
